The Stuff of Legends
May 6, 2025 | Written by Peter Schumacher
Back when we first revealed the name of Legends of the Force, players everywhere took notice of the word “Legends” in the set's name. There was one question on many fans' minds: Does this mean Legends content is coming to the Star Wars™: Unlimited trading card game?
Today, we're finally ready to answer that question, and the answer is yes! There are a total of 15 Legends cards in Legends of the Force. This means that those 15 cards depict characters and/or scenes from the non-canon Legends continuity, which means they all have a special Legends overlay in their graphic design. We're going to show off all of them in today's article, so, without further ado, let's start off with the one Legends leader card in the set, Darth Revan!

The scourge of the Old Republic, Darth Revan (Legends of the Force, 17) is unique in that he is the game's very first leader to only have the Villainy aspect. This means you'll have one less aspect to work with during deckbuilding, but Revan makes up for it with some potent abilities. On his non-unit side, he can grant Experience tokens to a friendly unit that defeats an enemy unit once per round, making his forces stronger over time. He deploys relatively early at 5 resources into a 3/6 Force and Sith unit with Restore 1 and an upgraded form of his leader ability: now, he grants an Experience token every time a friendly unit defeats an enemy unit, including himself!
Naturally, you will want to attack lots of enemy units to get Revan as strong as possible, but you may be concerned about the amount of damage he will accumulate on himself while doing so. Thankfully, if you equip Darth Revan's Lightsabers (Legends of the Force, 238) onto him, he gains access to Grit, granting him even more power the more damage he's taken.

Darth Revan isn't the only Sith from the Old Republic era to appear. His fellow scourge Darth Malak (Legends of the Force, 234) is here as well, and he pairs well with Darth Revan's abilities. With Overwhelm, Malak can take out weakened enemy units while still dishing out damage to your opponent's base, and each time he defeats an enemy, Darth Revan's ability can give him an Experience token, making him even stronger. As an added bonus, if you have already deployed Revan (which you can do at 5 resources, the same as Malak's cost), then Malak can enter play ready, making the two Sith an even deadlier combination!
That said, Darth Revan might not always be available when you're ready to play Darth Malak. When that's the case, a Sith Legionnaire (Legends of the Force, 81), a Forged Starfighter (Legends of the Force, 228), or HK-47 (Legends of the Force, 130) can serve up some Sith unit strength instead of Malak. HK-47 in particular synergizes quite well with both the Darth Revan leader and his lightsabers, since the more enemy units you defeat, the more damage HK-47 can do to the enemy base!

Rounding out the Dark Side representation of this set's Legends cards, we have a pair of potent events: Death Field (Legends of the Force, 141) and Liberated by Darkness (Legends of the Force, 189). Death Field is a strong damaging effect that hits every non-Vehicle enemy unit in play, and it also gives you a card draw if you happen to control a Force unit when you play it. Meanwhile, Liberated by Darkness lets you temporarily take control of any non-leader unit in the game, so long as you have your Force token available to pay for it. Both of these events are excellent tools for controlling the flow of battle, and with Darth Revan's ability powering up your units alongside them, your opponents may find themselves overwhelmed!
That brings us to eight of the set's 15 Legends cards. We've been focusing on Villainy cards for a bit now, so let's turn our attention to the Heroism side! Here, we have four Jedi units that all have simple yet effective abilities, allowing them to slot into a variety of Heroism decks.
First off is the Jedi Guardian (Legends of the Force, 49), a Vigilance unit that gets a power boost while defending. Next is the Jedi Consular (Legends of the Force, 94), a Command unit that lets you play a unit for a solid discount (at the cost of your Force token). Following that, we have the Jedi Knight (Legends of the Force, 145), an Aggression unit that can deal a bit of burst damage while you have the initiative. Finally, there is the Jedi Sentinel (Legends of the Force, 196), a Cunning unit that has Sentinel whenever you have your Force token.

To top off the Legends cards in the set, we also have a trio of cards that are neither Heroism nor Villainy. When you have your Force token to spare, you can spend it on Cure Wounds (Legends of the Force, 75) for a potent heal to one of your units. There are a lot of Force units in this set, making the Terentatek (Legends of the Force, 118) a useful unit to counter them with its Ambush ability. Finally, the Tuk'ata (Legends of the Force, 161) has a lot of power but frail HP, but thanks to its Hidden keyword, your opponents won't be able to attack it right away.
And that's that! You now know all 15 of the Legends cards that appear in Legends of the Force. Of course, the preview season for this exciting new set is only just getting started, so be sure to keep an eye out for more spoilers in the coming weeks!
