Jump to Weekly Play

The launch of Jump to Lightspeed is nearly upon us! After everyone enjoys Prerelease Events this weekend, you'll certainly want to keep coming back for Weekly Play as you explore what the fourth set of the Star Wars™: Unlimited trading card game has to offer. Naturally, you may be wondering what sort of promo cards you can earn by attending these events, and that's exactly what we have for you today!

However, before we get to the good stuff, we do have a quick update we'd like to share with everyone about some differences between these Weekly Play kits and the ones from previous sets. Since you can now occasionally find Hyperspace and Foil variants of Special-rarity cards in booster packs, those cards will no longer be featured in Weekly Play kits. Instead, for the Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play kits, all but two of the promo cards will be alternate-art versions of cards from throughout the set, and all of them will feature our signature Organized Play frame!

Just like with previous sets, the Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play kit comes packed with 3-card promo packs, which you can earn by participating in your store's Weekly Play events. Each pack has 3 random promo cards, with one of those promos being foil.

However, a key difference between this set's kits and previous ones is that the relative rarity of Weekly Play promos now better reflects the rarity of the original cards themselves. This means that promos of Common cards will appear more frequently than promos of Uncommon, Rare, or Legendary cards. In addition, any one of the promos in the pack can be foil, irrespective of its rarity, so keep an eye out for the fanciest version of your favorite promo!

As for the cards itself, first, we have the four Common promos. These feature alternate-frame versions of Onyx Squadron Brute (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 2) and Red Squadron Y-Wing (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 11), as well as alternate-art versions of Shoot Down (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 14) and Swarming Vulture Droid (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 20). We also have three Special rarity promos, Chewbacca (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 7), Fett's Firespray (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 18), and the Millennium Falcon (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 19), which appear at roughly the same frequency as the Common promos.

Next, we have the Uncommon promos. This is the largest group in the kits, with nine different promos in all, featuring Director Krennic (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 1), Hera Syndulla (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 3), Leia Organa (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 5), Poe Dameron (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 6), General Hux (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 8), BB-8 (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 10), Red Five (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 12), Captain Tarkin (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 13), and Anakin Skywalker (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 16).

Finally, we have the cream of the crop, the Rare and Legendary promos! There are four of these in total, three Rares and one Legendary, and all of them feature some pretty iconic characters. For the Rares, we have Cassian Andor (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 4), IG-88 (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 9), and Boba Fett (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 15). Meanwhile, for the Legendary promo, you'll find a wonderful alternate-art version of Han Solo (Jump to Lightspeed Weekly Play, 17)!
