Collēctīvus Holdings is a leading distribution, consumer goods, and services company supporting retailers and brands across the trading card game and hobby industries. Its latest venture is Tabletop Academy, a proprietary Learning Management System (LMS) offering staff training, certifications, and development for game publishers. This system allows for more streamlined and consistent staffing experiences at tournaments, Organized Play events, conventions, and other gameplay formats across the industry.

Tabletop Academy will be the home of our new Fantasy Flight Games Community Education Program going forward. This LMS program brings a holistic approach to educating members of the tabletop industry, standardizing and simplifying how event staff, ambassadors, and even fans are brought up to speed. We don’t just need judges for our Organized Play program, after all; we also need event hosts, registration staff, retail workers, line management, and hype talent. There are many fans of the game who don’t want to be a judge but still want to level up and support their favorite play experiences. The platform gives us and our event organizers the tools to equip our faithful arbiters as well as train and empower other supporters of events. We are also placing higher focus on soft skill growth and professional development as our program grows over time.

Many of you may be wondering what this means for our current judges. Here’s a breakdown of what the timeline looks like for both our current and future event staff:

On November 9, 2026, the new Tabletop Academy Discord server will open for community support.

On November 12, 2026, the Tabletop Academy platform will open for student onboarding. Existing judges will need to create an account on this platform at this time. You’ll have the ability to connect your new Tabletop Academy account to your existing My asmodee account, which will permit the platform’s direct integration with Melee.gg to import your future event work experience. Please note that previously-certified judges will not be automatically grandfathered into a new certification level, because our new certification design is functionally different than that of other programs (including our previous one). But rest assured, all judges with active certifications will receive completion credit for courses that are equivalent to their past learnings. This manual verification process will be completed for each student no later than December 31, 2026.

After syncing your My asmodee account, any work experience you gain inside of Melee.gg after November 2, 2026—which happens by being assigned a role within a Melee.gg-created event—will automatically be logged into your account. This work experience will be pre-requisite for progressing into some higher levels of education and certification. Required experience pre-requisites advanced certifications will launch at appropriate minimum levels and climb over time.

On November 11, 2026, we’ll host an Ask Me Anything livestream about the new Tabletop Academy LMS from and the Fantasy Flight Games Community Education Program as a whole.

During the months of November and December, course equivalency completions will be granted for previously certified judges, as we mentioned above. The course list will be made available to prevent judges from taking courses that will be comped in the near future.

In January 2027, additional soft skill and event training courses will launch on a rolling basis. Never stop learning!

On February 12, 2027, past judge certifications from our previous judge program will become invalid.

Don’t forget, there will be other opportunities to learn within the program than just training to be a judge. We’re also looking for people to help run events and spread the love of the game. What makes this LMS program different from its contemporaries is the certification system. With this system, people will be able to specialize in the skills and expertise that they are most interested in. This means you can pursue certification in things like Demo Staff, Registration Staff, or even Line Manager. Do you just love to stand around and geek out with others in line to help pass the time while they wait? This program will help you be the best you can be at it, and through it, the community will continue to grow together. The platform will be updated regularly with new courses to sharpen your skills and expertise. Check back in the coming months as new features roll out.

Interested in playing a part? Tune into our Ask Me Anything livestream on November 11 to get your questions answered.

We look forward to working with you!
