Homeworlds Product Release Update
Edit (September 25, 2026, 1:25 PM): We are seeing some confusion in response to this article that was published this morning. The Carbonite delay we announced a few weeks ago is still a reality and is affecting territories globally. We expect the majority of our retailers in countries around the world to have limited or no Carbonite product at Prerelease and Release. The countries with Carbonite delays in the list at the bottom of this page are guaranteed to miss the Prerelease window.

This is an update on the availability of product for the upcoming Star Wars™: Unlimited set Homeworlds, set to prerelease on October 2nd and release on October 9th.
We previously communicated that there was going to be a delay in Homeworlds Carbonite Booster product reaching our retailers. Unfortunately, as a result of issues with our manufacturing partner, some additional Homeworlds products will also have delayed release dates. This does mean that we will not be able to supply a large majority of our retailers with the full range of products on time for the October 2nd prerelease. These problems affect not only the United States, but various countries around the globe. Different regions around the world will be affected in different ways. We are working as hard as possible to get product to store on-time for the October 2nd prerelease, but the possibility of retailers not having all products exists. Product that does arrive at retailers will be limited at the outset with replenishments happening after release. Below we have listed the affected regions along with which products will be delayed.
We are deeply disappointed that this issue has expanded beyond the previously communicated delay on the Carbonite Booster product. We also recognize that this update is coming very close to the originally-scheduled release date for these products. We are providing this update as soon as we were able after confirming the details ourselves. This is an evolving situation, and we will keep our community up to date on timelines and availability as more information becomes available to us. We understand that this is frustrating for the community of players that treat our game with so much love.
This is the first time we have missed a release date for our mainline product, and we truly apologize for this delay. Accurate, on-time, and dependable timelines remain a high priority for us. We are working with our manufacturer to guarantee on-time releases for future sets and products.

Here is the full list of affected regions and what products will be delayed in each:
Australia
After talking with our partners in the region, it has been decided that it is best to delay the full release of the Homeworlds set in Australia and New Zealand until the product can be received and shipped with confidence. Prerelease was originally planned for October 2nd and the full release was planned for October 9th. The new dates are now October 15th for prerelease and October 16th for release. This is the only official moving of the prerelease and the release dates.
We are beyond dissatisfied that this has become the best course of action. We want you to know that this is not something we take lightly. The Fantasy Flight Games and Asmodee teams are committed to our community and the on-time release of this game. While this is the first time we have had to move release date, we are working with our partners to ensure on-time releases for future sets and products.
