Galactic Prizes
March 19, 2025 | Written by Peter Schumacher
Greetings, everyone.
We’re just a few short months away from the inaugural Galactic Championship event! As we surge ahead toward this exciting moment for fans of the Star Wars™: Unlimited trading card game, we wanted to give everyone a solid first look at the sort of prizes you can earn from attending the event. We’ve got a lot to cover today, so let’s dive right in!

Participation and Placement Prizes
First and foremost, those of you who plan to enter the main tournament will no doubt want to know what you can earn for your efforts. Each day of the tournament has a different set of prizes associated with it, so let’s go over each day in turn.

Beginning with Day 1 of the main tournament, everyone who participates will receive three “silver promo packs,” which we’ll go over in a bit. If you manage to earn at least twelve match points during the Day 1 Swiss rounds, you’ll win yourself an additional two silver promo packs and an alternate-art token unit pack*. Earn at least fifteen match points, and you’ll receive another two silver packs and one token pack, and if you earn at least eighteen match points, you’ll have yourself a seat in Day 2 of the tournament!
Also, for anyone who earned a Day 1 bye from placing high in qualifying events leading up to the Galactic Championship, it will be treated as if they won at least six matches in Day 1—which means they automatically get all possible Day 1 prizes!
*Note: The alternate-art token packs can also be obtained through various other means throughout the Galactic Championship, outside of the main tournament.

Just by making it to Day 2, you’ll earn yourself an exclusive soft crate deck box and pack of card sleeves, the designs of which we will show off on a later date. You’ll also earn yourself two “black promo packs,” which we’ll share more details on below. Just like Day 1, the rest of the Day 2 prizes are divided up based on how many matches you win: if you earn at least twelve match points, you’ll win two more black promo packs and another set of sleeves. Earn at least fifteen match points, and you’ll get another pair of promo packs, and if you earn at least eighteen match points, you’ve made it to Day 3 of the tournament.

There are a lot of prizes for Day 3, as you can see by checking out the prizes above. Some of the highlights include: a promo version of the Spark of Rebellion Darth Vader unit card for all participants; some more unique game mats, including an awesome Darth Vader-themed game mat for players who place Top 32 and above; unique Galactic Championship deck pods and placement-stamped Darth Vader promo cards for the Top 8; and automatic invitations to next year’s Galactic Championship for those who place in the Top 8 and above.

In particular, making it to the Top 64 of Day 3 yields some impressive prizes. One of those is a deluxe promo pack featuring nine stunning, alternate-art lightsaber cards from Legends of the Force! These promos share a unique frame that was specifically designed for this pack, making them truly one-of-a-kind. Also for the Top 64, similar to the Sector and Regional Qualifiers, the top-placing player of each leader will receive a Showcase variant of their leader card!
There’s a lot that can be earned here, so be sure to bring your A-game if you want to win it all!

We mentioned the silver and black promo packs a few times throughout this preview. These are special packs that contain two random Galactic Championship-exclusive, foil alternate-art promo cards. Each pack type (silver or black) has its own pool of promos from across the game’s first five sets, all of them featuring an iconic character or starship unit card. The silver promo packs have 12 possible promos while the black promo packs have 10, and some of those are Legendary cards! These promos will only be obtainable during the Galactic Championship, making them an awesome addition to anyone’s collection. Will you be able to collect them all?

Throughout all three days of the main tournament, you will also earn a plethora of prize tickets as you win matches. This brings us to our next highlight: the prize wall!
Prize Wall
Regardless of how well you do in the main tournament—or even if you participate in it at all—you’ll have ample opportunities to earn prize tickets throughout the Galactic Championship, such as through side events. These tickets can, naturally, be exchanged at the Galactic Championship prize wall! There are a lot of goodies that you can get off this wall, so without further ado, let’s take a look at what you can get!

If you’ve been following our livestreams since the beginning of this year, you may recall us revealing the existence of Showcase variants for the Spark of Rebellion Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader leader cards. At the Galactic Championship, you’ll be able to exchange prize tickets to snag yourself a copy of these variants for your collection!

As for non-leader cards, the prize wall will boast eight stunning alternate-art promo variants of cards from across the game’s first five sets. Clear the table with a jaw-dropping Superlaser Blast from Spark of Rebellion, salvage some upgrades with the sleek Razor Crest from Shadows of the Galaxy, and command—or pilot—your ships into battle with Director Krennic and Chewbacca from Jump to Lightspeed. We’ll have even more of these promos to show off as we get closer to the event, so stay tuned!

In addition to the specific cards above, you’ll also be able to exchange your prize tickets for some more of the silver promo packs we described earlier! Even if you don’t participate in the main event, you can still grab some of these packs from the prize wall, which means anyone who attends should have ample opportunity to snag the unique promos inside.
Please note that the black promo packs will not be on the prize wall, and thus are exclusively earned during Day 2 and 3 of the main tournament.
Cards aren’t the only things you can obtain from the prize wall; you can get accessories as well! Protect your cards with some awesome art sleeves that feature designs from across multiple different sets, unfurl a gorgeous game mat from an even greater variety of art options, and store your decks within some Galactic Championship-exclusive soft crate deck boxes! Several of these accessories even sport art from Legends of the Force, which we will reveal at a later date. Regardless of which designs you choose, you’re bound to walk out of the Galactic Championship with some seriously cool swag!

From promo cards to game mats to accessories, you’re practically guaranteed to walk out of the Galactic Championship with some amazing prizes. This event serves as a culmination and a celebration of everything we’ve done for Star Wars: Unlimited so far, and we have even more exciting things for the game in the years to come.
We hope to see you there!
